Robert (Bob) was born on July 1, 1928 in Butte, Nebraska to John and Elizabeth Salmen. He was a Butte Nebraska High School Graduate. After graduation, he moved to Omaha where he met the love of his life, Thelma. Bob made his living as a grocery store manager and store planner. He loved spending time with family, fishing, camping, and traveling, as well as playing card games, Bingo, and Bunco.
Bob is survived by his wife of 72 years, Thelma Salmen; his daughters Patricia K Jones (Dave), Debbie Rockhill (Tom), Diane M Freedman (Simon), and Gale L Hansen (Marty); and his grandchildren Bobby Rockhill, Mike Rockhill, Bobby Hansen, Steven Hansen, Jason Freedman, and Stewart Freedman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Elizabeth Salmen, Stepfather Henry Hanson, and sister Helen Brandl.
