Robert was born on June 30, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Paul and Julia Golembiewski. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Klosterman, on November 20, 1954 and they were blessed with 11 children: the late Linda (Jim) Flasck, Keith (Sandee), Alan (Tracey), Jim (Nancy), Jeff (Ann), Lisa (Dave) Clark, Brian (Carol), Laura (Ken) Corrion, Julie (Tom) McNally, Rob (Wendy), Craig (Maggie). He also was blessed with 32 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
After graduating high school, Bob served in the United States Air Force. He went on to graduate from The University of Detroit and The Detroit College of Law. Bob worked as a Claims Adjustor for Ohio Casualty Insurance Company before becoming a prosecutor for Macomb County. He finished his career working in the legal department of Michigan Farm Bureau.
After retiring, Bob enjoyed bowling, exercising, going to the casino, and cheering on the Spartans, but his biggest pleasure was his family. He never tired of saying that family is everything.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Bob to either Noble Hospice of Mesa or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
