Dear Charles, you are missed so much and people that never even know you are saddened by your death.  Now that the trial for 3 of the murders that horrible wife committed is over we understand what a nightmare the last months of your life were.  You died trying to save your family, especially JJ who thrived under your wonderful care.  You were always good, kind and patient.  We are comforted by the thought of you in Heaven with JJ.  Your goodness has been documented.  Now we are waiting for justice for your own murder. 🙏🏼

To the family of Mr. Charles Vallow:
I send prayers your way and prayers for the soul of our brother, Charles, (as well as those precious children).  Forgive me for the very late nature of this message, as I only knew of this family tragedy by the irony of tuning in to NBC Dateline this past Friday evening, March 26th, 2021, after working a  Lenten K of C fish fry at our church where the wife and I are members. Needless to say, the news was a shock as I watched the story unfold. I am from Lake Charles and grew up playing baseball like Charles. Like Charles, I was a southpaw, and we competed against one another in high school. (I, at Lake Charles High School, while  Charles was at Barbe High). Charles had the talent in high school to propel his skills to the professional level. He was that good!  We attended McNeese State University for a while together and were members of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Hung out, played cards, and did things guys did back in the seventies. Charles was a 'cool cat'! I have very good memories of our friendship during this time of our lives. The photos of Charles in the Dateline show illustrate the same handsome fella I recall when we all thought we were God's gift to women! I was a live in nanny for the Vallows in Kauai, and I loved them all dearly, it’s truly a tragedy to hear what happened.  It’s so important to love one another above our pride ❤️ Thanks Charles for the blessing that your family was to me during challenging times! 

A beautiful soul who lived life to the fullest.  So many memories of growing up with him.  My condolences to the entire family.  I know he leaves a huge hole in all of your hearts.

I was a live-in nanny for Charles’ son , JJ, for awhile and he was my cousin. He always took care of everyone around him in big and small ways. Giving me a job, love, and support after I got pregnant before I was ready was a huge way he took care of me! A small way was that he remembered my order from subway and would go get me a sandwich every day knowing it was one of my pregnancy cravings. He was so genuine and loving and never had anything bad to say about anyone. I just want to let his family know that he was so loved by so many people and I am very sorry for your loss. 

My big brother whom I love with all my heart, I don’t know how to condense a lifetime of beautiful memories into a few words.    You were a huge part of my life & sharing JJ wove us even more tightly.   Although you were taken prematurely, I’m sure you’re in heaven  watching over all those that love you.   Brother, the void you left will never be filled.  Rest assured  I will forever ensure JJ never forgets what a great dad you were.  Cole & Zack will help with that too because they’re amazing big brothers, just like you!   
I’ll never forget what an inspiring brother I had. I love you Charles.
