John was the beloved husband of Earlene (Johansen) Morgan. They were married on January 3rd, 1970, in Iowa. John also leaves behind his two children, Charles Morgan of Scottsdale, AZ: Cathy (Jim) Culver of Chandler, AZ. He was the grandfather of Brett Culver of Chandler, AZ, brother to David Morganwalp of Virginia and Bruce Morgan of Maryland; an uncle to many nephews and nieces, and a brother-in-law to Denise Parks of Cedar Falls, IA. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Fredrick Morgan PhD and his mother Alberta (Cowman) Morgan and sister Alice Robinson.
John was born at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. on October 25th, 1943. He graduated from Edina High School in Minnesota and the University of Minnesota where he received his medical degree. John was an accomplished physician that practiced medicine in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in Scottsdale, Arizona for 38 years.
John lived a full and adventurous life traveling with family, skiing, playing guitar, sailing, painting, running marathons, competing in weightlifting events, enjoying studying the stars, and playing with his children when they were younger and spending time with his grandson. John loved to watch the Vikings, and the Cardinals play with his son Charles Morgan on weekends. He grew up watching baseball and loved to cheer on the Washington Senators as a kid. The Washington Senators was in Washington D.C. from 1901-1960 until they moved to Minnesota and became the Minnesota Twins; ironically the same year that John moved to Minnesota with his father.
A graveside service for John will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
