Irvin Douglas Feller, 95, (aka Red or Fred) passed away after enjoying 29 years in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was an amazing man devoted to his wife, Diane (2013) and his three children. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, he served as a mechanic for the Army Air Corps near the end of WWII and received his honorable discharge. Later, he owned and managed his own businesses in Dayton including Red Feller and Son, industrial scrap metals, and then Feller’s Greenhouse and Giftshop, which his son took over when he retired to Sun Lakes in 1992.
He is survived by daughter Wendy Wolfersteig of Tempe (Robert), daughter Robin Feller (Russell), and son Tracy Feller (Diana) of Surprise, along with three grandchildren (Ian, Megan & Paul) and a great-grandson. He was a founding and life member of the Jewish War Veterans Copper State Post 619. He helped establish the Sun Lakes Jewish Cemetery, where he will be buried after services Friday, December 17th at 12:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248.
