Becky Jo Greenhalgh of Chandler, Arizona quietly passed away on September 22, 2024 while in Hospice Care after battling a long-term illness. She was 69 years old. Becky was born to Father Donald Thompson and Mother Barbara (Robinson) Thompson in Albert Lea, Minnesota on August 9, 1955. She was raised in Albert Lea, Minnesota attending school and involved in her Church. As a child she was known to be a bit of a tom - boy while growing up. She was musically inclined to playing both guitar and piano. She is survived by her husband Steve, and sons Joshua, William, Brandon, Parents Donand and Barabara Thompson of Sun City, Arizona, Sister Debbie Thompson (Anderson) of Eaton, Colorado. Brothers Greg Thompson, of Phoenix, Arizona and David Thompson of Anthem, Arizona. Becky and Steve were married in 1978 in Logan, Utah. They lived in Ft. Collins and Ft Morgan, Colorado then Sacramento, California prior to moving to Chandler, Arizona in 1988 where they have lived since.
Becky and Steve have three sons Joshua David Greenhalgh (Stephanie) of Phoenix, Arizona, William Steven Greenhalgh (Melissa) of Mesa, Arizona, and Brandon Glenn Greenhalgh (Jessica) of Chandler, Arizona. Becky has ten grandchildren and one great grandson. Becky’s lifetime was active with home, kids in school and sports, helping with grandchildren and church activities. Becky is a lifelong Christian with strong convictions. Becky loved the Lord. She was an accepting, kind, and loving person. She easily made friends and loved the beach and mountains. She added value to the lives she touched. Her consistent gift was being a wonderful wife, mom, grandma (Becky), daughter, sister, and friend. She very much loved her family. She loved and cared for children and her cats. Prior to her illness she attended Vineyard Church in Gilbert Arizona. Becky’s funeral service will be held on Saturday September 28, 2024 at the Vineyard Church 601 S. Cooper Rd. Gilbert AZ. 85233 at 11:30 am (Viewing) and funeral service at noon. She will be laid to rest at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler Arizona. The family requests that donations are directed to Hospice of the Valley.
