The light that was her life, the light that burned so brightly that it made everyone’s world a little bit brighter, went out on May 16, 2019. She married and is survived by her husband Nathan McKenzie, who cherishes the 11 years they had together.
Mandy was born on October 2, 1986 in Mesa, AZ to Dan and Vicki Vivian. When Mandy was little, her family moved to Benson, AZ where she graduated from High School. Mandy then moved back to the Valley where she attended ASU before deciding to become a licensed massage therapist and ultimately started a new career in office administration. Mandy is predeceased by her youngest brother, Christopher, who has waited 12 years to welcome his big sister (his second mom) home. Mandy is also survived by her husband, Nathan, parents, Dan and Vicki Vivian, mother-in-law Viki McKenzie, her sister, Monique (David) French, and brothers, Tom and Michael (Danielle) Vivian, her sister-in-law, Jennifer (Mark) Wuggazer nephews, Tanner and Gavin, Henry and her nieces, Alyssa, Cami, Celia, Adalynn and Isabelle. She was more than a niece to her Aunt Lisa and Uncle JP and was more of a sister to her cousins Ashley, Sam and Jack. Her large family extends to her many aunts and uncles; Krista (Mike), Lisa (JP), Jay, Brandon (Carrie), Doug (Wendy), Bryan (Thelma) and Lyn (Tim) and many, many cousins.
If you were lucky enough to come into contact with Mandy, you were touched by her light and laughter and those who were close to her were blessed with her fierce love and wonderful sense of fun (she was a HOOT!). She loved her family and spent many times with them at Disneyland, camping, playing family games, sharing memories, stories and just hanging out. This July will be the first family reunion she will miss in her 32 years upon this Earth. She was thoughtful in planning family get-togethers, birthdays and holidays with us and was instrumental in most of the good food and desserts eaten at those gatherings (the secret ingredient is all the love she added).
To say she will be missed by her husband, all of her family and many near and dear friends is a massive understatement....our world and our lives will not be as bright without her light.
There will be a celebration of Mandy’s life on Monday, May 27 from 11am – 2pm at the Westwood’s, 2217 E. Plum Court, Gilbert, AZ 85298.
