We moved to another farm in Humboldt County, Iowa. I went to country school till I graduated from the eighth grade. From there I went to another county school for two years. At the end of my sophomore year we moved to the town of Humboldt, where I graduated from high school in 1948.
In the fall of 1948 I moved to Des Moines, Iowa and went to Iowa Beauty School and worked as a beautician in Des Moines for about a year.
I met and married Bernard Isaacson in the years of 1949 and 1950. We then lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa. My son Dennis was born in 1951. My daughter was born in 1954. In the following years we lived and worked either in Denver, Colorado or Fort Dodge, Iowa.
February 5, 1957 we lost our daughter to an auto accident. This was a very trying time for all.
I was divorced in the fall of 1957 and my son, Dennis, and I moved to Humboldt where I bought a beauty salon and worked there for several years.
In December of 1968, Dennis and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I did several different things and Dennis graduated from school and went into the service.
I went to work for Motorola in the fall of 1977. Dennis went into training for the Department of Public Safety. After training he was assigned to the Tucson area.
I worked my way up to Supervisor of the Parts Department, that supplied parts for engineers, technicians, and trainers.
I moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona in 1984 and continued working. I retired in 1992 and enjoyed my retirement.
I leave behind my loving family. Son Dennis, daughter-in-law Janice, and two grandchildren and their families. May God bless them and keep them happy, healthy, and loved.
