She was the daughter of the late William Tielmann and Lena (Eckhardt) Tielmann.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth (Tielmann) Haye and husband Robert; brother. James Tielmann; and niece, Sue (Haye) Burnopp.
Surviving Joyce is her husband Wesley Reiff, whom she married on October 27, 1962; daughter, Cheryl Lee (Reiff) Cobb and husband Preston; son, Daniel W. Reiff and his wife Alison (Hilbert) Reiff; sister-in-law Helen (Morgan) Tielmann; eight nieces and nephews and twenty three grandnieces and grandnephews.
She graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible and Penn State University with degrees in Bible and Elementary Education. She taught art at two schools, in one of which she created the art curriculum herself for the elementary grades. She was the commander of the girls Awanas at Grace Gospel Chapel in Plumsteadville, PA and a leader in Awanas at CEFC in Strausstown, PA. She was a tour guide at Styer’s Farm; a 100 acre orchard in Newtown, PA. She was a faithful wife and mother for 60 years, and has left us many beautiful ceramic pieces to enjoy that she made herself.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday February 11, 2023 in Parklawns Funeral Home; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Burial will immediately follow out in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the services at the graveside over at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church; 24 Kauffman Road East, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pregnancy Ministries, Inc.; 14 S Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA 17225 in Joyce’s memory.
