Robert “Bobby” Wallace Jr. died peacefully on October 16, 2021. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Bobby faced his cancer with strength and grace and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children, who he adored.
He was 70 years old and was born in New Orleans to Robert Wallace Sr. and Valeria Machado DePriest. He grew up in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans and was a proud graduate of F.T. Nichols High School. After High School Bobby enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was incredibly proud to be a Veteran and often shared stories of his time spent abroad. Bobby settled in St. Bernard Parish and built a successful business over 40 years in Bobby’s Duct Work.
One of Bobby’s biggest accomplishments was being a father. His children always knew he would take care of anything they needed, sometimes before they even knew they needed it. Bobby had a huge personality and an even bigger heart that filled the room. He was charitable and giving more than anyone could imagine. Bobby was very generous with his time and had many friends that he loved dearly. He was a passionate Saints and LSU fan who rarely missed watching games with friends.
He is survived by his children Robert Wallace III, Tammy Gallioto (Lucas), Tiffany Wallace (Brian), Ryan Wallace (Chantelle), and Robin Wallace II (Heather) and grandchildren Nick Mendoza, Peyton Miller, Nicholas Gallioto, Reed Wallace, Adreyona Wallace, Roman Wallace, and Sloan Wallace. Siblings Robin Wallace Sr. (Eddielynn) and Rai Ann Pizzolatto (Jim).
