A native of New Orleans, and a longtime resident of Chalmette and Slidell, he proudly served his country as a Merchant Marine and U.S. Army Corporal in the Korean War.
He was a devoted father to Paul Hattier, Renee Hattier, Beth Basile and Annette Centorbi. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grand children, his brother Edwin Hattier, sister Ora Mae Guerrera Hattier, many special friends, nieces, nephews and many others.
He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and a past member of VFW Post 7194 along with other dance organizations.
Visitation will be Friday, January 12, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at ST. MARGARET MARY CHURCH, 1050 ROBERT BLVD, SLIDELL, LA, followed by a service at noon. Interment will be at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, in Slidell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
