Elsie Rider Markert, age 100, of Schriever, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Howard Rider and Lucy Serpas Rider. Wife of the late Frank Markert. Loving sister of the late Lelia R. Gutierrez (Lloyd), Paul Rider (Rita) and Ione R. Falgout (Ray). She is survived and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends.
She attended Maumas High School, Class of 1942. She worked for Shell Oil as a Communications Supervisor. Elsie moved to from Chalmette, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to Schriver, Louisiana.
A memorial visitation for Elsie will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, 701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, Louisiana 70043, followed by a Memorial Mass from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM.
