Douglas "Dougie" Gregoire

Douglas "Dougie" Gregoire, age 68, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana. He was the husband of the late Julie Johnson Gregoire and was also preceded in death by his parents Joseph "Dewey" and Gloria Vicknair Gregoire, as well as his 5 brothers, david Randall "Randy," Glenn, Gerald, Patrick, and Erick.

Dougie is survived by his nieces Mary Ann Russo, Amanda and Lauren Gregoire and his nephew, Derick Gregoire and the late Taryn Ray, as well as, his Uncle Reno and Aunt Elmire, and many cousins,He is also survived by his good friend, Harry.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired employee of Murphy Oil Refinery, Chalmette, Louisiana. Dougie was an avid and devoted fan of all things LSU.

Dougie was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish until he relocated to Prairieville after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Recently, he was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, Louisiana on Saturday, November 11, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am until noon; funeral mass at noon. Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, Louisiana.
