Claire Howard Valvis passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of the late James J.Valvis. Loving mother of Claire V. Mayuer (Alfred), June V. Boos (Jerry) and Guy J. Valvis (Gail). Daughter of the late Robert and Claire Ligon Howard. Sister of the late Patricia Baldridge and Robert Howard. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, December 30th from 9:30AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
