Shirley Bonita Threatt, 89, of Chehalis, Washington passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022. She was born July 14, 1932 in Shelby, Montana to Wayne and Lily Gibson. Shirley was the oldest of four, Jackie, Wayne, and Carol.
Shirley graduated from Shelby High School and married Ron Swanson. They had two girls that passed away, Karen Rene and Kimberly Richelle. Later, they moved to Chehalis with their three children in 1965. Most of her career was spent as a title examiner at Title Guaranty of Chehalis. Shirley acquired many rentals in the area and was a hard-working landlord. She met and married Wesley Threatt in December of 1985. They continued owning rentals and purchased Harold’s Burger Bar in Centralia. After retiring from Title Guaranty, Wes and Shirley traveled and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona and Indio, California.
Shirley is survived by two children, Craig (Mona) Swanson of Onalaska and Lisa (Bob) Deacon of Chehalis; three grandchildren, Mahriah Swanson of Onalaska, Jonnel (Savanah) Deacon of Lacey, WA and Haley Deacon of Lacey, WA; and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Carson and Camryn Deacon of Lacey, WA.
Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Eric Swanson; a grandson, Kenneth Swanson; and husband, Wesley Threatt.
The family wishes to thank Woodland Village Memory Care, in Chehalis, for the care of their mother.
