Laura Christine (Stockdale) Christianson

12, 2014, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle Washington. She was surrounded

by both her immediate family and also her extended family.

Laura was born to John and Naomi Stockdale on Dec. 24, 1953, in Tacoma

Washington.

Laura lived with her family in Tacoma until they moved to Morton

Washington in December 1965, where Laura graduated from Morton High

School in 1972. Laura was one of eight children to John and Naomi

Stockdale.

Laura is preceded in death by her dad John G. Stockdale, mom Naomi

Stockdale, brother Timothy Stockdale and half- brother Ron Stockdale.

She met her best friend and the love of her life Richard Christianson in

Morton and later married him on Sept. 1, 1973. They lived in Morton for

many years where they first started raising their two daughters Melanie

Christianson of Sequim, Washington and Lindsey Elliott (Christianson) of

Chehalis, Washington. Laura and Richard moved to Chehalis, Washington

in the 90s where they made their home and finished raising their girls.

Laura worked for Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute for 14 years until she

cut back her hours and later decided to stay home and help take care of

her grandchildren.

Laura and Richard finally moved and made their last home together in

Sequim, Washington, in 2002, where they bought a house and made it a

beautiful home together.

Laura's life was pretty much dedicated to her grandchildren. She had a

special place in her heart for all five of them. If she was not making cookies

or popcorn for them she was online shopping for something for the kids.

She was planning the grandkids' Christmas all year long. Christmas was

her favorite time of year and when Christmas decorations came down she

would start a count-down until the Seattle Mariners pitchers and catchers

reported for spring training. Laura was an avid Mariner fan. She was

always willing and ready to talk baseball all of the time. Laura loved her

baseball evenings and football Sundays with Richard.

Laura also enjoyed cooking all of the time. She was always trying

something new in the kitchen that she had read or saw on the Cooking

channel! But she was most famous for her cinnamon rolls and bread.

Laura Christianson is survived by her husband Richard Christianson of

Sequim, Washington; their daughter Melanie Christianson of Sequim,

Washington, and her three children, Sydni Christianson, Tayler

Christianson and Justin Christianson; daughter Lindsey Elliott

(Christianson) (Tony) of Chehalis, Washington, and their two girls

Montanna Heinricher and Alliann Elliott; her brother Gus Stockdale of Port

Townsend, Washington; sister Ginny Fisher (Tim) of Bellingham

Washington; sister Kathy Lemen (Larry) of Newberg, Ore.; brother Rick

Stockdale of Centralia, Washington; brother Mike Stockdale (Angie) of

Olympia, Washington; brother Kevin Stockdale (Marcia) of Lake Stevens,

Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Laura will be laid to rest in Morton, Washington, on Dec. 19, 2014, at 11

a.m. at the Morton funeral home with a graveside to follow. A celebration of

life reception will follow at the Bob Lyle Community Center.
