Joyce was born in Centralia, WA on the 6th of May, 1930. She graduated from Centralia High School in Centralia, WA.
Joyce was married to Stanton Price on May 29, 1948. They were married 49 happy years, after meeting at a Valentine’s Day dance, at the local grange hall.
Joyce was a homemaker, supporting Stan and raising their two daughters. After her children were grown, Joyce continued her education to become a CNA and assist those with home dialysis. Over the years, many have been blessed by her generosity and caring spirit. She enjoyed canning the summer garden harvest and any sewing project, most recently completing quilts for each member of her family. As an avid reader, the library could hardly keep up with her, and she loved to play cards but all too often, gave away the wilds. A lifetime love for camping had her enjoying the outdoors through the summer of 2017. Those spending time with her would always find themselves caught up in laughter as she was never short of a good joke, with a memorable punchline. She was a member of the Methodist Church, actively involved in Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington, and was a lifetime Beta Sigma Phi. While living in Centralia, she cherished her weekly get togethers with a group of women affectionately known as the “bowling girls”. In honor of her loving husband Stan, who faithfully served in the US Army and was a POW for nearly four years during WWII, she volunteered for years at the Veterans Museum in Chehalis, WA.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Stan, her parents, Lyman and Mary (Silver) Adams; her brother, John (Earl) Adams and his wife, Mae.
