Robert Brittain “Britt” Puzey was born on October 22, 1942, in Houston, Texas. He went Home to be with the Lord at 3:15 pm on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at 80 years of age while at home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Britt was raised in Galena Park, Texas and graduated from Galena Park High School in 1960, where he met his wife, Wanda Bierman and married her in 1963. He went on to attend the University of Texas in Austin. His career included being a postal carrier in Austin and going on to work at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston as leader of the accounting department. He then moved on to First State Bank and Trust in both Houston and Baytown as Comptroller and Vice President. From there he worked as an auditor for APRSI and PRGX. He ended his career as a landman for several oil & gas firms.
Britt was saved at an early age in the Baptist Church and went on to serve the Lord with his family in the Assemblies of God church. There he led many children’s musicals, but his passion was coaching teenagers for Bible Quiz competitions and helping them find their purpose. He loved to see them filled with the love of God and take the Scripture to heart. He wrote many Bible study guides to assist their learning and even sold them to other teams.
Britt is survived by his fiancé Billie Landrum of Texas; son, Darren Brittain and his wife Kristen of Florida; daughter, Shanna Crawford of Louisiana, 2 granddaughters, Alexanne Nejad of Colorado, and Allison Brittain of Florida; Alexanne’s husband Jeffery; and 2 great grandchildren, Airianne and James Nejad.
