Robert J. Gleason., of Centereach NY, formerly of Lynbrook NY passed away on August 17, 2016. He is the beloved husband of the late Muriel. Cherished Father of Roberta Maffei and her husband Dennis, and Donald R. Gleason and his wife Lauren. Loving Grandfather of Allison Maffei and Lindsay Almodovar and her husband Ray. Proud Great Grandfather of Eric, Samantha, Nevina, Ivy, and Violet. Robert was a proud Ex-Chief and 60 year member of the Lynbrook Fire Department as well as a WWII Army combat veteran. Reposing Saturday 7-9 pm, and Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church in Centereach NY on Monday at 9:45am. Interment with honors to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
