On December 12th 2024 Regina Amy Chase (Priest) peacefully entered into eternal rest. Predeceased by her Father Charles Priest and Mother Lillian Weaver. She is survived by her daughter Amy, brothers Chuck and Andy; sisters Sharon, Kelly, and Lishana; as well as her nieces and nephews Jesse, Dylan, Alena, Julie, Emily, Xandra, Matthew, Lawson, Elsa, Felix, and Oriana. Regina also leaves behind countless extended family and close friends.
Born in March 1958 in Middletown, CT, she graduated from Old Saybrook High School and attended Lasalle Junior College. She had many adventures in life and traveled with her school, bringing her to such places as Spain, Mexico, and California, times she would recount often. One of her fondest professions was working as a pipe fitter at EB in Groton, CT, where she met and married Charles Chase. They lived in New York for a short time, settling finally in East Haddam, CT. Later in life Regina went back to school becoming a certified nurses aide, a career she found great joy and accomplishment in. In the days since her passing it has become overwhelmingly apparent how much she touched people while here. She always decided to “choose happiness.” She was the life of any party with an infectious laugh. You couldn’t help but smile around her. She was a kind, loving and caring mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
A wake will be held January 4th 2025 from 2-4pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT 06409. A dinner reception will immediately follow from 4-6pm at Morina Restaurant in Haddam, CT.
In lieu of flowers a donation can made in her honor to Chestelm Health and Rehab, 534 Town St, Moodus, CT 06469.
