Steven Clayton Peck, 73, of Highlands Ranch, CO, was called to his heavenly home on Friday April 14th, 2023. The family takes much comfort in the fact that he is now with our Lord and Savior and has had a most joyous reunion there with his mom and dad.
Steve was born on September 15, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, to Clayton and Hollyce Peck. After proudly serving in the Air Force for four years, Steve married Susan Ellane Jahn on April 6, 1974, and settled down in Madison, WI, where they raised their three children.
Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had an infectious laugh and a gift for storytelling, and he was loved by all who knew him. He had a passion for the broadcasting industry and spent many years working in the field. After starting his career in the tech booth of Madison's local broadcasting channel, WHA, Steve transitioned to selling TV cameras and equipment. A job transfer in 1997 led them to Highlands Ranch, CO. In 2002, he eventually found his home at Ross Video, where he worked as a regional sales manager until his retirement in 2018.
Steve loved spending time with family, and he adored his many grandchildren. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in his recliner with a good book. Steve will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years, Sue; 3 children, Brian (Kim) Peck of Waukesha, WI, Rob (Melissa) Peck of Parker, CO, Jamie Erica (Dwayne) Cherrington of Parker, CO; 5 grandchildren, Azzareyah (Jamie Erica), Noah (Brian), Carter (Brian), Jordan (Rob), and Avery (Rob); 3 step-grandchildren, Elijah (Jamie Erica), Taya (Jamie Erica), and Tayshaun (Jamie Erica); and 4 siblings, Marie (George) Brennan-Mayer of Payson, AZ, Audrey (Mark) Kolosovsky, of Sheboygan, WI, Marlene (Robert) Mostek of Venice, FL, and David (Laura) Peck of Maple Grove, MN.
In honor of Steve's life, his family invites friends and loved ones to share their memories and stories at a celebration of life gathering on Monday, April 24, at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm with a short service at 4:00pm followed by a reception and remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to K9s For Warriors (k9sforwarriors.org) or DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust (cst.dav.org).
