Dear Auntie Anne, 

Thank you for your love, kindness, and care over the years. We didn't spend a lot of time together, compared to many of my cousins, but all the happy moments that we have shared, will always be in my heart. 

I still remember we spent a Christmas together in Beijing when I was in Grade 3. We had Shua Yang Rou hotpot together; we walked up the Great Wall, and you witnessed my very first foot massage experience after the long, tiring walk. All the scattered pieces over the trip are linked together because of you. You are always there, making me feel comfortable. You have been a great, precious gift to everyone, to the family, and especially to this girl who was quite shy back then. 

Time past, but memories stay, in our hearts, forever. May Auntie Anne rest in peace.

I didn't know Ms. Hsu, but judging by the comments here, it seems she was an amazing woman who touched all who knew her. What an honor and a tribute to a wonderful life to have people comment so lovingly. Rest in Peace.

Anne, my beloved sister, was a beautiful person inside and out.
She was a devoted wife and mother in every aspects of life.  She put all her efforts and energy raising her two remarkable sons.
Sadly she passed away peacefully on July 26, 2016.
With my heavy heart, I want to express my heart-felt condolences to my brother-in-law Johnny and my two incredible nephews Kean and Howard. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
I would like to share some thoughts and fond memories about Anne.
Mui-mui ( ), as we nick named her, was a caring, sincere, kind-hearted and generous person.
She always take care of others first, especially her loved ones. We shared a bed when we were growing up. Anne would always sleep on her side and curled up so I would have more space. Whenever we were given choices, she would always let me have the first pick.
In our teen years, our Mom was sick for almost 2 years, we had to prepare dinners every night. We didn't know much about cooking and we were both hesitant going to the market. She bravely took on the task of going to the market because she knew I was more intimated by the people there. She let me had the easy job of preparing and cooking while she would venture out and face the adversity for me. Our favorite dish to prepare was pork slices with bean sprouts. 
Those were precious memories that I would cherish forever. Back then, I already knew I was very fortunate to have a sister like her.
Anne was a strong and persistent person as you could see the way she fought her battle with cancer.
She never compliant, took the pain and suffering all to herself. She simply did not want to burden her family.
Her positive attitude toward life inspired me and gave me strength to face whatever challenges that I might face later in life. Thank You, sister.
Words could not describe the emptiness and pain that I felt right now.  I miss her too much.
However, it is comforting to know that she will embark on a new journey to eternity and happiness.
For that I am grateful.
We should all honor her wishes, make sure the grieving process is short.
Live a Happy and Healthy life. Live life to the fullest for her.
Spread  her seeds of kindness and love wherever you can.
Have a special spot in your heart just for her.
I think that is what she would like us to do.
Anne, you will forever be in that special spot of my heart!

Dear Anne,
You are our wonderful sister with quiet confidence and a loving heart.  You took so good care of mom and dad, as well as all of us. You have a generous soul and are always willing to help us in times of need.  You never forget sending Anita and Emily Christmas money and special gifts.  You are such a supporting wife to Johnny and a successful mother who has raised two fine and caring sons.  I learn so much from you You are a woman of courage and strong will.  You have fought an excellent battle against your challenging illness.  Your positive spirit would never be overcome. You have lived a beautiful life!  We will always remember you!  May you and your family be filled with abundant love, peace, comfort, and lots of blessings!!

Auntie Anne. She was known as many things. A mother. A wife. A friend. A sister. A cousin. A daughter. However to us, she was known as our dear and loving aunt. In fact, she was one of the best aunts we have ever known in our lives. We never got to know Auntie Anne as well as we wished we had. You never realize that you have lost something so important in your life, until it's gone.
She was such a loving and caring person. We remember a long time ago on June 11, 2011, Auntie Anne's family, Auntie Janice's family, and Grandpa came over to our house for Father's Day. I was probably 6 years old, and Emi was about 4 years old. My favorite part of that day was when Auntie Anne gave me a big hug when I first saw her. Emi's favorite part of that day was seeing Auntie Anne and the smile on her face. 
We love Auntie Anne. We are glad to have an aunt like you. We wish we could have been able to make many more memories with her before she passed away. May you rest in peace Auntie Anne. We couldn't imagine our lives without her.  XOXO

I couldn't believe a woman of Anne's size could have this much tenacity and courage.  I am so proud of her!  Although she was very quiet most of the times, she touched our hearts in an unbelievable way.  When we were young, we didn't have much.  May and Anne went to the workforce early in their lives to help support our family.  I remembered both of them had high heels that they wore to work.  I would always wore their high heels when they weren't home.  Although I walked in their shoes, I never had to experience the tough live they lived because they sacrificed themselves for the younger siblings.  They had to put their education on hold till they earned enough money to support their own education.  I am forever grateful for all the older siblings have had done for me!
When I pictured Anne in my head, I would see her winking her eye and smiling at the same time.  I think that's her signature move!  I remembered we celebrated her birthday on December 12, 2012. That's 121212!  Her birthday candle was a question mark.  Everyone had a good laugh when they saw the birthday candle.  I believe that was the only time since childhood that I got to celebrate her birthday with Janice and Josephine as well.  
I learned a lot from my courageous sister, Anne.  During my last visit with her in Denver, I saw she wrote one word repeatedly in Chinese Calligraphy.  That word is fook, meaning blessed and happy.   Even though she was in the final stage of her life, she was very grateful for what she had.  She was blessed to have a wonderful family.  Instead of complaining about her disease, she lifted her spirit every day by telling herself that she is blessed.  I will never forget that.  I will never forget my mighty sister, Anne, and I hope I will have courage like that when I face my own obstacles.  
I love you, Anne! You will always have a special place in my heart!

My dearest sister Anne, 
You are always in my heart. 

After coming back from Denver and recovering in Hong Kong, I have a quiet moment to sit back and think through the times we had together.

Our parents worked very hard to raise eight of our brothers and sisters. We were poor and we all had to be squeezed into a room of about 200 square feet. We were divided into different groups to sleep on a couple beds. You never complained or tried to get the best spot. When I looked back, I only stayed with you for about 18 years by the time I went to Canada to study. I was small at that time and during summer time, May and you would go out and find a summer job to make extra money to support our family. I still have images of you carrying a coin purse coming back from work. You were always quiet and never said a word about working in the summer time. Anne, you were the first one in my life to give me pocket money during the summer times. This really touches my heart and this is always on my mind. 

When I was studying in Canada, I worked in the summer time in order to make enough money to support the following year's tuition fee and living expenses. I remembered one of the summer holidays, I went to do the summer jobs as usual. At the time, the economy was bad, the boss would cut our pay. I was not happy on this and went back to Calgary to work as a convenience store cashier instead of a waiter. At the end, I did not make as much money as I usually do. In the following study year, I was short of Money at the last month before I could start to work again as a waiter in the coming summer holiday. You sent me money for food without any questions asked. Even though it wasn't much, when I needed help you were always there. 

Even though, we did not spend much time together when we were young we were able to build up our bond even when we both had families. We always tried to have family gatherings during the Christmas and Chinese New Year times. We had lots of good memories in Beijing and Hong Kong. We ate a lot, laughed a lot, and had lots of memorable times. 

Life is about experience, it does not matter whether it is long or short. You started with tough times when you were young. Your life turned 180 degrees around when you met Johnny. Both of you worked hard at your restaurants, made good money and had good times. In parallel, you spent lots of time in bringing up Kean and Howard to make sure they are raised in the warmest family. You were paid off at the end with an amazing husband and two awesome sons that can travel with you around the world in last couple years. I am so proud to have a sister like you that is so passionate, considerate, and dedicated. You love all the people around you. While you are starting a new journey, I am going to miss you forever.

Our family feels honored to have been touched by her beautiful soul and beaming presence. Her generosity, kindness, warmth, and bright personality will never be forgotten and always missed. We are completely saddened by this loss, but know she is at peace. She and your entire family is constantly and will always be in our prayers. We love you all.
