Raised in Scott City Kansas, Robyn and Hap started their family in Cimarron, KS where they proceeded to continue and build their family in Goodland, KS. In 1984 they moved to Colorado where Robyn was a musical director at the family’s church and passed her love of music to her children. Robyn and Hap separated soon after, and Robyn moved to the Denver area where she met Jim and spent the rest of her days. She loved the garden and yard that she and Jim built through their 34 years of marriage, as well as the family she helped create and nurture with him.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma, younger brothers, Baxter and Tony, nephews Darryn and Jacob, niece Miranda, and great nephew, Ethan. She is survived in death by her husband Jim, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 greatgrandchild and many beloved extended family members. Robyn’s family of birth, the Appels, were very important to and she attended a yearly reunion even in failing health.
Flowers or contributions for her memorial to be held in March should be sent to her home in Centennial. Her family thanks the Accent Care team for their hospice support and ability to bring music into her life until the very end.
