Phyllis Lee Adler

She met Herbert Adler at Denver University. He was a friend of a friend and did not have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving so, they went to their mutual friend’s house for dinner. They started dating and were married on May 12, 1951. They were married for 51 years.

They had 4 children: Steven Adler, Patricia Adler McNeil, Mark Adler, and Pamela Adler McVay. They also had 11 grandchildren: William Adler, Sara Adler, Tara Adler, Joshua Adler, Dean McVay, Katlin Adler Allen, Ryan McNeil, Brittani McVay, Michael Adler, Sean Adler, Allison McNeil. And 5 Great Grandchildren: Cayden, Kynlie, Keilyn Simpson, Neely Adler, Beckett Allen.

Phyllis retired from Our Lady of Lourdes School, after teaching physical education for 20 years. While working at Our Lady of Lourdes, she was the PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, Girls Volleyball and Softball coach, Bingo Hall Concession Manager. She was also involved in the Saint Marc’s Circle and the choir.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery the same day.

In honor of Phyllis, friends and family are encouraged to wear the color red to her memorial service.
