Mary Ellen spent her early career as a second and third grade teacher in Springfield, Massachusetts before becoming a School Psychologist in Adams County School District 12- 5 Star Schools. She obtained both her Bachelor and Master Degrees from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts before later attending the Doctoral program at University of Colorado Boulder.
Mary loved skiing, especially in Vail, and was an avid traveler, having traveled to every continent except Antarctica. She was a long time jazzercise participant, enjoyed wine tastings, and was an accomplished scuba diver, completing over 600 dives all over the world.
Mary Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Charles Hogan; her children, Michelle Miller and Michael Hogan; her grandchildren, Audrey and Avery Miller; her siblings, James Michael Maroney and Frank Maroney; and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, Colorado. The Hogan family will greet family and friends at a reception, at the funeral home, immediately following.
