Larry Oscar White

He was born to Hertha and Oscar in Hutchinson, Kansas on May 7, 1940. He was baptized June 9,1940 and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. Larry was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Junior College. He briefly attended the University of Kansas and completed his Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He married Ruth Ann Winter on June 26, 1965 at Ascension Lutheran in Littleton, Colorado. Larry was an engineer for Western Electric and later retired from AT&T. Following a brief retirement, Larry did contract work for various telecommunications companies in the Denver area before finally retiring to enjoy traveling with Ruth Ann.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Carnahan (Jeremy), sister Carla Dinneen (Charles), nieces Brenda Dinneen and Lina Miller, nephews Allen Schmidt (Cindy) and Noel Schmidt. He is preceded in death by his parents Hertha and Oscar White, wife Ruth Ann White, son Neal White, and sister Donna Schmidt.

Larry designed and built their home in Parker in the early 1970’s. He later expanded the home to include an additional garage and barn for Kimberly’s 4H sheep project. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Franktown, Colorado and also assisted with the construction of the church. He was a past member of the Denver Depression Glass Society. His true passion was his model train hobby and was a member of the NSNG HoN3 Model Railroading Club in Denver and the National Narrow Gauge Society. Larry was also a longtime season ticket holder for the Denver Broncos and also enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies. Larry and Ruth Ann loved to travel. They traveled all over Europe, the northern European capitals, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and Asia.
