James Michael Ver Lee

James Michael “Mike” Ver Lee. Born on April 11, 1942. He passed away on August 21, 2014. Big brother to R. Scott Ver Lee. He married his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Jean Maloney, on December 23rd, 1961. They have 3 children, Kelle McCann (Bill), Jamie Mathews and Scott Ver Lee (Karin). He was “Gramps” to five grandchildren, Kelsey Forrester, Devon and Seth McCann and Matthew and Michael Ver Lee. He loved teaching them the importance of a good education, how to fish and all about the “Mountain Life”.

Mike and Barbara moved to Conifer from Denver over 20 years ago and established a beautiful mountain home. They opened BJ Pack & Mail in Aspen Park which became their pride and joy. They really enjoyed becoming friends with their patrons.

He kept a close friendship with numerous friends from Denver. Mike enjoyed reminiscing of fun times of “Potluck” dinners, Denver Broncos tailgating parties and camping trips along with making new memories! Being the humble man that he was, he was always proud of his achievements and cherished every moment of his life! He will always be very loved and missed by everyone that touched his life.

We are so grateful to know that you are on a wonderful new adventure of being happy and healthy!
