Gerry grew up in Globeville Colorado with siblings Ralph and Donald Fischer.
Gerry grew up during the great depression.
Gerry attended Garden Place Elementary, Horseman Middle School, North High School.
Gerry went to Elementary school with Elmer A Reffel who she later married January 20, 1946.
Elmer and Gerry had 4 children. Sharon Lee Reffel, Janet Marie Matie and George Elmer Reffel and Elmer Elbert Jr.(who lived for six hours due to complications during birth)
In 1951 Elmer and Gerry bought their first house in Denver Colorado. Where she lived for 64 years.
Gerry worked for Gates Rubber Company for 30 years as a binder.
Gerry loved to go to the Dutch Hop at the at the Denver Kickers Club and Sylvania Club, She was also on bowling leagues for many years. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family.
Gerry went on several cusise's to Hawaii and Alaska.
Gerry loved to take her kids and grandkids to Torre's Mexican restaurant on Sundays.
Gerry's favorite time of year was holidays. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas eve she would make up food and have exchanges for the whole family.
Gerry's grandchildren-Dawn Marie, Donald Jr., Scott, Christine and Michael
Great grandchildren-Brandon, Chase, Caleb, Shaylynn, Kaden, Avery, Leah, Kylie and Beau Great grandchildren that she had not yet met, Quinton, Chad, and Ivan...(Michael's future stepsons.)
Great-Great grand child-Ariah.
Gerry held a very special place in her heart for all of her family, a hobby of hers as prized as the rose gardens she kept for most of her life, even having her grandchildren and great grandchildren work on them in her honor.
Gerry had many familial friends, whom she took in as family, from friends through family or local restaurants she frequented.
Gerry is preceded in death by her parents George Fischer, Rose Fischer, Husband Elmer, brothers Ralph Fischer, Donald Fischer and Sons Elmer and George Reffel.
Survived by Her daughter's Sharon (Donald), Janet (George), her daughter in law Kathleen (George's wife) and all grandkids.
