passed away peacefully on October 15, 2022 in Monument, CO. She was 96 years old. She
was a lifelong educator in Littleton and taught at East Elementary, was principal at Sandburg
Elementary, and served as assistant superintendent of Littleton Public Schools. After moving to
Lone Tree, Emma Lou was an active community member and played a key role in the
establishment of the city of Lone Tree, CO. Emma Lou was predeceased by her husband, Jack
Wilson, and her son, John Wilson. She is survived by her children Colette Bevlaqua (Donavan)
and Thomas Wilson (Mary Beth), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emma Lou,
fondly known as Mama Lou, was beloved by her family and all who knew her over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services, crs.org.
