Cynthia Rose Rolofson

Colorado native Cynthia (Cindy) Rose Rolofson, 64, grandmother of 3 and avid Denver Broncos fan was found deceased March 14, 2022, in her home in Lakewood, CO. Besides the Broncos, she also loved horses, chocolate and the mountains.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis Lange/Blake and Martin Blake as well as sister Jane Blake and (divorced) spouse Gordon Rolofson. She is survived by her daughter Amber Burr and son-in-law Dannie Burr along with her 3 grandchildren: Kirra Burr (10), Emma Burr (7) and Dean Burr (2) of Evergreen, CO. She is also survived by her sister Paula Christine (Chris) Blake/Poberzyn; brothers Michael (Mike) Richard Blake; Martin (Marty) Russell Blake all in Colorado.

After the divorce, Cindy discovered a whole new love of adventure and went to places she had never been. She also swam with dolphins, went skydiving, and went on a hot air balloon; to name a few.

She took pride in her entrepreneurial spirit as well as being helpful to others. Growing up, her Granddaughters always looked forward to craft time with Grandma. Watching movies and Denver Broncos games with family and having sleepovers with her grandchildren were some of her favorite past times in recent years. During sleepovers, the grandkids could always count on grandma bringing tea, root beer, chocolate and chips and they loved sharing with her! Air mattress were also always a huge hit and made for lots of fun and laughs.

She had many battles throughout life and learned a lot in the process, the most recent battle being cancer. Throughout her battles, she was a very passionate woman who was not afraid to speak her mind. Some of the life lessons she learned was to “Give. But don’t allow yourself to be used. Love. But don’t allow your heart to be abused. Trust. But don’t be naïve. Listen. But don’t lose your own voice.” Through her last years, she came to understand “there comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won’t anymore, and who always will. And in the end you learn who is fake, who is true and who would risk it all for you.” She learned that life is short and wanted to spend as much time as she could having fun, spending time, taking trips and doing special things with her grandchildren.
