Chuck was born on April 15, 1970, at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He attended University High in Greeley, Colorado before finishing his high school education at Martin Westview High School in Martin, Tennessee. After graduation, he moved back to Colorado and studied to become an EMT. He worked for a number of years in that field before moving back to Tennessee. He then moved from Tennessee to Kentucky where he met and married Kristina Ann "Kris" Foy in August 2003. He and Kris moved to Flint, Michigan after marriage. While working at McDonald's in Flint, he defended his fellow employees from a robbery attempt by using a broomstick to deter the robber who was attempting to climb through the drive-through window. His heroic actions made the local paper. After a few years in Flint, he and Kris returned to Colorado and he landed a job at Lowes, where he worked for 14 years. During his tenure at Lowes, Chuck assisted on many Habitat for Humanity projects. He worked alongside Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. But what he really loved was that he also got to work alongside his favorite musician Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood. He treasured the photo that he had taken with them. While working at Lowes, he was also proud to have assisted some of his favorite Bronco players, among them Steve Atwater and Karl Mecklenberg.
Chuck loved family get-togethers. He was usually the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Every three years, the Stanley family had reunions which took place in Ohio or Pennsylvania or Georgia on a rotating basis. The most recent Stanley reunion was held in Ohio, and he got to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton on that trip.
Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Kristina about 4 years ago. He never really got over that loss.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Patty Stanley, and stepfather, Donald Stanley, of Highlands Ranch; his brother Chad Allan Daum and his sons, William and Joseph, of Greeley, Colorado; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
