She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Oliver B. Cope and Patty Olivia Cope and her brother, Brian Cope.
Carole Marguerite Cope was born in Kinston, North Carolina on March 21, 1943.
Our beloved Carole began her next journey Tuesday morning December 3rd, 2024 into the arms of our Lord, at Advent Porter Hospice Care in Centennial, Colorado – accomplishing so much in the 81 years in between. She loved to sing, listen to music, play the organ and the card game bridge. She had a gift of creativity in home interior/exterior design that she mastered due to her husband’s career that required them to move frequently. She had a passion to make her home beautiful inside and out and spent endless hours creating the most beautiful landscape designs and spent many hours enjoying her yard and gardening. Many people complimented her on the work she put into her home and landscape projects. She loved entertaining. Her home felt inviting, and she was happiest relaxing in her yard alongside her family. Snookie, her 7-year-old Yorkshire terrier was one of her greatest joys in life. She loved Christmas time and always made is so special for her family with all the beautiful decorations and tons of presents under the tree. She had such a heart for people less fortunate and had a great passion for wanting to help others down on their luck and she frequently did.
Her love of people, mystery, intrigue and romance was the impetus that began her writing career…that and wanting to have a “voice” about those issues which incited her to passion; revealing social ills and issues. She had a curious mind and would never stop digging until she got to the truth of the matter. She was the author of three romance novels. She was an English Teacher, studied Music and Psychology in depth. One of her most rewarding positions was managing an esoteric book and educational center in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was also the chairperson and Editor-in-Chief to a group mind book Project and she leaves us with a thought from one of her poems:
“Believe in yourself, keep love in your heart and your world, wisdom and karma will never be apart”
