Born to Bud and Fern (Maulis) Watters, December 31, 1948 at Porter Hospital in Denver Colorado. Joined his Parents and Our Lord in Heaven on the morning of November 24, 2015. Brad was raised with his older sister Karin in the South Denver area. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1967. Brad then went to Colorado State University, in Fort Collins, graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate in Industrial Arts. Brad joined the US Army after college and served on active duty Stateside until 1977.
In December of 1969, Brad married Prudence Ann McFarland. Their two sons soon followed, Scott Alan Watters, in 1974, and Matthew Lynn Watters, in 1976. Following his time in the Military, Brad and Prue opened Happy Canyon Hardware Store. They along with Brad’s sister Karin and her husband Jack, ran this little store for many years. In 1984 Brad started up a new company, Milestone Enterprizes. A property management and remodeling company, focusing on foreclosures. Today his sons Scott and Matt, who have been with Brad and Milestone for many years, will carry on the tradition.
Brad’s life was not all about work. Brad enjoyed acquiring and rebuilding vintage automobiles and pursued this hobby throughout his life. He had an endless collection of cars and stories. Brad also loved the outdoors. Camping and fishing in Colorado, or anyplace he could take his boys.
He truly enjoyed his life. Brad is loved and is survived by his wife, Prue; sons, Scott (Steph) Watters and Matt Watters; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Trae, Kira, Nate, Josh and Sam; sister, Karin (Jack) Hight.
To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die...
