Born on December 23, 1956 to Deloris and Jack Maxon, Angela Maxon was a loving sister to her six siblings. She is survived by her sisters Ada and Penny and her brother Jack. From her first days here, she possessed a unique ability to light up the lives of those she touched. Angela was selfless and giving to a fault - and tougher than most; that’s why it could be five degrees below zero and she would give up the clothes on her back to keep a friend warm. She survived storms like that, throughout her life, because of a very special kind of warmth she kept right inside her. The same warmth that made her a trusted friend and a loving mother and Grammie, not just to her beloved daughters and grandchildren, but to anyone she ever met. If there was anyone who ever needed a helping hand, you could bet Angela Maxon was there. She was the strongest of shoulders to lean on. She was a pillar of strength and caring at the center of her family. Angela will forever be remembered by an infectious laugh and a sharp wit, and the way both those things worked together to light up a room or captivate a party. She will be remembered for her incredible patience and love for children, especially her beautiful daughters Amber Stoops and Kimberly Groover; and her granddaughter Lilly Corbett and grandson Galven Groover, who were always sure to get a smile out of Grammie. She will be remembered by the family and friends that she did so much for during her time here. She passed in bed on June 10, 2015, embarking on a journey to meet up with some old friends and bring a little extra warmth and love with that fire of hers, wherever it’s needed. She will be loved, and missed, and remembered, always.
