Scott grew up in Phoenix, AZ and he graduated from Greenway High School. He then moved to Maryland through his work in construction. He came upon the Joseph Schwartz construction family, home builders in Baltimore, as a young man interested in home construction in 1987. The company was branching out into home development and Scott was hired to assist. The relationship lasted more than 30 years during which time Scott worked in all phases of the family’s construction and property management business which included land acquisition, government entitlement, budgeting, architectural design, marketing, employment, payroll, capital projects and more. He gained a position of trust and responsibility that was recognized by all who’s lives he touched.
Scott was an avid golfer and loved to be at the beach and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching sports live and in recent years enjoyed playing fantasy football with his family. Scott was a lover of history and learning. He read eagerly and enjoyed going to the movies.
He was preceded in death by his father. He leaves behind his wife Debra Wade; his mother, Beverly Wade; 7 daughters, Brittany Wade-Tucker (Justin), Stephanie Wade, Ashley Wade, including 4 step-daughters, Katie Lipshultz (Ben), Sara Wright (Gary), Addye Gosnell, Mattie Gosnell; 11 grandchildren, James (Jimmy) Turner, Erek Tucker, Anabelle Tucker, Emily Wright, Gary Wright III (Carrie), Matthew Wright, Sierra Wright, Alexander (AJ) Herrera, Mabel Lipshultz, Ruby Lipshultz, William Lipshultz; 2 great-grandchildren Guenhwyver Wright and Tobias Wright; his sister Gena Wade and brother Lance Wade (Kathy); one niece Lacey Young; one nephew Daniel Cavanaugh; his ex-wife Saundra Insley and many more friends and family. Scott was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 3pm-5pm and a funeral service held at noon on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228.
