Pamela Louise Brooks (nee Lins), a long-time resident of Ellicott City, MD, died at age 60 in Baltimore, MD. Born in Evanston, IL, Pam was predeceased by her parents Frederick E. Lins III and Joan Hambach Lins, and by her beloved cousin Wendy Thierfelder Lindsey. Pam is survived by family and countless friends who will miss her caring nature, gentle ways, and contagious chuckle. Survivors include: brother Peter K. Lins & sister-in-law Argie M. O'Shea of Catonsville, MD; nieces Chloe O. Lins of Austin, TX, and Mara O. Lins of Spokane, WA; aunts and uncles Suzanne (Lins) & Larry Floyd of Oxford, WI, and Jeffrey & Nancy Lins of Nashotah, WI; cousins Ann Bloss Montgomery & Robert Bloss of Madison, WI; Carl Lins (Teresa) of Middleville, MI, and Lisa Lins of Grand Rapids, MI; and friends and companions at the HeartLands Senior Living community in Ellicott City where Pam moved in 2021.
Pam graduated from Centennial High School in Ellicott City in 1981 and received an associate degree from Howard Community College. Pam was a great listener and a colorful storyteller, particularly adept at remembering and relating specific details of family events, including what someone wore. Pam admired people’s fashion sense and always took the time to put together smart outfits for herself. She especially loved having stylishly manicured fingernails! Pam got a kick out of playfully teasing her brother, all in good fun. Pam loved karaoke and talking with friends. She was active at HeartLands, enjoying bingo, live entertainment, and happy hours. Pam expressed gratitude often and easily to those around her.
Per her wishes, Pam will be cremated and her ashes spread near Upper Nashotah Lake in Waukesha County, WI, where she spent most summers of her childhood and teenage years. An informal memorial gathering for Pam will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 2pm-4pm in the Community Living Room at HeartLands Senior Living, 3004 N. Ridge Rd, in Ellicott City, MD. Please use the designated visitor parking spots and enter at the 3004 entrance. Check in at the front desk before heading to the Community Living Room.
