"Our Guy", Kevin Ebersole


:::: "Our Guy" - is someone who has always been supportive, who never hesitates to stand beside you in the trenches during the pressures of challenging times.
"Our Guy" - is always the first to sing your praises when the mission is accomplished.
"Our Guy" - is the guy who always "has your back", and the guy you'd jump on the grenade for to make sure that he, and his team, succeed.
"Our Guy" - has always been "our heat shield", letting the team focus on their tasks while absorbing the
the heat from impatient programs.
"Our Guy" - always managed to maintain a spirited and tight-knit team.
"Our Guy" - never hesitated to send out compromising emails from your account should he stumble on your unattended and unlocked computer.
"Our Guy" - took the time to personally know each member of his team.
"Our Guy" - made sure that all team members, from the newest - to those that even left, knew that they are always an integral and intimate part of the team.
"Our Guy" - is the guy you got mad at because he didn't agree with your idea or proposition, because it was genuinely important to get "buy in" from the leader who meant the most to you.
"Our Guy" - is the guy who would always "stir things up", take the open shot, and needle you if you gave him the opportunity.
"Our Guy" - is the guy we miss, and the guy we love most.
"Our Guy" is Kevin.
I'm a "Kevin guy".
All of us who loved him are "Kevin's guys".
We know "Our Guy" is in a better place, still beside us, still watching over us, & still supporting us.



A final fairwell to kevin Ebersole, a. Life cut short to early.  Im saddened to hear your last several years were troubled. I want to remember thw gokd times: Allegheny youth group events, going home on the school bus, trips to Philadelphia to see concerts like White snake  and Motley Crew, appartment hunting in Laurel md, walking around town laughing our asses off at 2 in the morning, and all the awesome restaurants we went to all over the place, and hanging out with Joanne, lloyd and all our other friends over the years. I would have loved to meet ur family, but that wes not to be.  May God provide you with a special place in heaven; you deserve it my friend. Rest in peace

Sending prayers to the Ebersole family. My memories of the kids playing basketball and seeing Kevin there watching are memories to hold on to.  Praying for peace for my friends Becky and children. My daughter and Tyler will be lifelong friends due to the morals and close family culture installed by Kevin snd Becky . Thank you for your ongoing friendship. 

Kevin took a chance with me when he welcomed me onto his team back in August 2020. Soon after I joined his team, Kevin suggested I mentee under one of his engineers and steered me in that direction. Kevin’s guidance proved invaluable to my professional development. Multiple times throughout my year-long rotation Kevin offered me a permanent spot on his amazing team, emphasizing I would have not only his unwavering support, but also the time and resources to grow as a test design engineer. Kevin was a very approachable and warm-hearted individual who I never hesitated to share personal information with. Last year, my grandmother's health declined as she battled lung cancer and I ended up exhausting nearly all my time off to spend time with her before she passed. Upon returning to work, Kevin offered me 5 days of his own vacation time since mine was almost entirely spent. I was in a different group no longer even reporting to Kevin and was absolutely floored at his incredibly kind gesture. Kevin was a phenomenal leader and manager. I know myself along with many other engineers, managers, and technicians thoroughly enjoyed the humorous emails he would often send our way. I will be forever grateful to Kevin and, while I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, I genuinely felt like I knew the man. That was his personality. That was Kevin.  Thank you for everything, Boss Man. My sincerest condolences to all of Kevin’s family and friends.




Kevin is among the best: best engineers, best managers, best of friends.  It has been my pleasure to work for him for the last 14 years. He knew how to take of his people and the work equally well. His work will continue to benefit the nation for years to come.

When I first met Kevin in an interview, I was really undecisive about my career path. He didn't know anything about me at the time, but I can tell he cared and wanted to give me a chance. He referred me to another organization within NG and gave me the opportunity to not push myself on to doing something I wasn't happy with, but try something different. 

I'm currently 4 yrs w Northrop and have given a lot back to the company. Just a little gesture help shaped and put me back on track onto my career path. I would like to thank and honor Ebersole for that.

Kevin my youngest brother, so many memories with you, lots of fun times at Sleepy Hollow pool every summer watching you do flips off the diving board you would do that all day long. I remember how you very light hair would look like you didn’t have any when you were wet. Riding bikes and big wheels around and around at Pop- Pop Ebersole’s. And of course watching you play baseball.  I always wondered how you could be so smart straight A’s every report card?  You did very well with college became an engineer made Mom so proud. When you move to Delaware we kinda became distant I wish I would have contacted you more. Now it’s to late for that. 😢  Love you Kevin, from your big sister ❤️

My youngest brother Kevin, you were way to young to pass away. I have lots of fun memories with you as kids swimming at Sleepy Hollow, I remember you going off the diving board all day long doing flips,every summer, going to Delaware with all the grandparents next to us in cabins, Kevin you where always like a fish you loved swimming and your  Very light blonde hair made it look like you didn’t have any hair when you were swimming. Riding bikes and big wheels at Pop-pop Ebersole  around and around that driveway we went. You were always the smart child I remember your grades being A’s , I would think how does he do this Straight A report card?  As we got older and you moved to Maryland we kinda lost contact I wish I would have tried a little harder to keep in touch, now it’s to late😢.  Love you Kevin your big sister Kay❤️

I’m still in shock from the loss but I know Kevin had a tough time the last couple of months and suffered from various physical challenges for the last several years. I worked for and with Kevin for the last 15 years. Despite the everyday challenges we face at work, Kevin knew how to lighten the mood and keep things positive. He was known for his occasional pranks, particularly if someone forgot to lock their computer before stepping away from their desk. He was a great support for the engineers in our group and we will all miss him. So I know the family’s loss is tremendous but I hope you find consolation knowing that for the time he was with us all, he had a great impact. 

I’ve had the pleasure to work alongside Kevin and he always steps up to difficult tasks without hesitation. He is an amazing engineer- his leadership and dedication was critical to the success of our program. He will be in my thoughts and prayers. 


I had the distinct pleasure to work with Kevin. He was an outstanding engineer, outstanding leader and outstanding man.  Often times, after completing our work talk, I’d ask “how’s the fam?” He’d beam with pride. I’m certain he was an outstanding dad and hubby. Hug each other tightly. God recalled a great one. 

Kevin was my brother-in-law, my friend, father to my two handsome nephews and husband to my beautiful sister. Words cannot describe the emptiness in my heart as the reality sets in that you are no longer with us.  You truly blessed our lives with your presence. I also know that you are no longer suffering in pain. Thank you again Kevin for the joy, laughter and happiness you brought to our family. This is not our final goodbyes but rather until we meet again. God bless and be at peace now with your parents and of course my mother. Love you bro.

I worked with Kevin I always found him to be logical, thoughtful, and pragmatic.  He treated me with respect and kindness.  I’ll miss my ally  in hunting down and procuring “PNAs.” - I’ll miss you Kevin God Bless and may you never think of PNAs in Heaven ever again!!!  I know I cannot usage your families grief but my hope is that my words  herein and prayers bring some joy in the celebration of his life.

I've worked with Kevin in our department for at least 20 years or so, and he was my supervisor for a short time.  He was smart, and easy to talk to, and had an office full of treasures (aka junk) like mine.  I think he truly enjoyed what he was doing


My deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Kevin’s Family and friends.  I enjoyed working with Kevin for many years. A very easy-going man, and I considered him a good friend.
Rest in peace Kevin, you will be missed.



Kevin was always a champion for his team members and employees.  He was a great leader, lovely guy to have on your teams, and a model engineer/manager.  Kevin will be sorely missed at work.  My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Kevin was my manager for about a year. At the time I was hired for his group, the area I was previously working for at Northrop was shut down and I had to find a new home quickly. Kevin was very welcoming during my quick transition to his group. Working under him had been a very impactful and rewarding experience.
