Jenn was born on July 13, 1978, in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Katy High School. Jenn received her B.S. in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 2000, then received her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005. Jenn had a brilliant mind and was an accomplished and highly respected member of the space weather community.
Jenn was fiercely loyal and frequently expressed her love through “the love language of cooking.” Following in the footsteps of her beloved Grandma Ebdon, Jenn was a talented artist and pianist. Jenn adored her dogs, Maeve and Taffy. She was an avid reader and hosted a Little Free Library in her front yard to share books with her community; not surprisingly, it also had a dog treat section. A reflection on Jenn’s life would not be complete without mentioning her infatuation with rabbits, which were an adorably unique and consistent part of her life as pets, statues in her garden, and artwork on her walls. Jenn had a rich, fulfilling life overflowing with talents and interests, and we will forever cherish and miss her endless generosity, unwavering strength, and extraordinary intelligence.
Jenn is survived by her husband, Michael Henderson; stepchildren, Cade Henderson and Mieko Henderson; sisters, Lauren Gannon and Kathryn Gannon; father and stepmother, John and Yrene Gannon; and an incredible community of friends and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Ebdon; and grandparents, William and Janie Sue Ebdon, and John and Margaret Gannon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at 2:00 PM at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 2425 Colorado Avenue, Boulder, CO.
