On January 29 2012, Helen Jessie Burch went home to be with the Lord. Helen was the loving wife of the late Earl Rudolf Burch Sr. Mother of the late Earl Rudolf Burch Jr. Sister of Dorothy Knust. Grandmother of Patti Burch Rankin and husband Steve, Carol Burch Waters and husband Michael, Jane Burch Friddell and husband Rusty, and Ruth Burch Dziwulski and husband Tom. Great-Grandmother of nine and Great-Great-Grandmother of four. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends. Helen was born in Samos, Virginia and spent most of her adult in Baltimore, Maryland and Pinellas Park, Florida. She lived her final 10 years in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Helen enjoyed a long and full life and was able to celebrate her 100th birthday with extended family. As an avid Oriole fan, she also was thrilled to receive a home game birthday congratulations.
Family will receive friends at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Sunday from 1 to 2:30pm, where services will be held at 2:30pm. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday at 11am.
