Tucker was born on April 25, 1945 in Washington, DC to Allan and Evelyn Flott. He was raised in Bowie and Chevy Chase, Maryland with his 12 siblings.
Tucker graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in 1963. He was drafted into the Army in 1967, and served in the Vietnam in the 2nd Battalion Mech, 8th Infantry Unit for one year. He was discharged from the Army in 1969.
Tucker had a passion for cooking and entertaining. He also loved to travel, and he combined his two favorite hobbies to create extraordinary experiences. He loved nothing better than to cook for family and friends at parties. He loved to have family and friends visit him in Key West so he could show them the town. He was an excellent host! Tucker was known for his ability to connect with people, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Tucker was preceded in death by his father, Allan, his mother, Evelyn, and his brother Charlie. He is survived by his siblings, Harriet, Stephen, Evelyn, Elaine, Margaret, Michael, John, Theresa, Mary Frances, Andrew, Matthew and their spouses and children. Tucker was a proud brother and uncle. His death has left a hole in our hearts.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042 from 11:00 – 11:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00PM. Interment is private.
