Linda Ineichen Geiermann passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022, with her loving husband and family by her side. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Dorothy Williamson Ineichen and Lee Edward Ineichen, brother Lee Ineichen Jr., and younger sister Constance “Connie” Ineichen.
Born in Rayville, Louisiana, on November 17, 1941, Linda Lee Ineichen spent her childhood in Rayville, then attended the University of Mississippi and Tulane University before raising her children in Tennessee. She moved her family to Denver in 1974, and while working full-time as a manager at Xerox and US West, Linda returned to complete her education, receiving her bachelor’s degree from Regis University in 1993. Though she was proud of her career, her most important roles were sister, mother, grandmother, and wife. She supported many charitable causes and was a dedicated long-time grant writer and volunteer at the Assistance League of Denver, helping families in need. The last thirty years she and her husband, Richard “Dick” Geiermann, lived in Castle Rock, Colorado and Destin, Florida.
Linda asked her grandchildren to call her “Missy.” This moniker took on a life of its own, and many friends also called her “Missy”. She had a huge, loving heart and befriended everyone. Her Thanksgiving celebrations always included not only family, but recently met “former strangers” who had no place to go for the holidays. Her love for her family was deep, and she took such delight in her ten grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Geiermann, son Chris Bittman and daughter-in-law Kenda Noble, daughter Ashley Dabbiere, stepdaughter Kelly Seay, and grandchildren Hayley, Piper, Spencer, Ella and Cooper Bittman, Constance, Cameron, Alston and Calvin Dabbiere and Janelle Seay.
Her family and friends cherished her, and she was a beacon of light and kindness for all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be scheduled in the fall of 2022, but we celebrate her legacy every day by living with joy and sharing kindness with all. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes support of the Assistance League of Denver in her name.
