Donna was born Thursday August 16th, 1950, to the late Donald and Wanda (Breitenstine) Genet and grew up in Norton, OH. She lived in Doylestown, OH with her late and beloved husband, the love of her life, Chuck. Donna spent time with her son, Ryan, in Canal Fulton, OH and would reminisce on their early morning grocery store trips and his time spent coaching his daughter’s sports teams. Donna also lived in Northern Kentucky and then moved with her daughter, Tracy, on a new adventure to Colorado. Donna loved spending time with her children and most importantly her lovely grandchildren; she would often brag and boast about each one of them to anyone that would listen. She would absolutely glow when talking about time spent shopping and running errands with Olivia Hettich as well as the time spent living with Charlee, Peyton, and Bennett Cruse and all their antics. Donna was skilled at cooking and baking (even when the altitude in Colorado presented new and frustrating baking challenges). She was known for always making entirely too much food regardless of the number of guests, while pushing seconds and thirds onto everyone at the table. Once her cooking was done, Donna could be found enjoying the evening air on the back porch and was amazed at the beautiful Colorado weather and being able to see the mountains daily. In addition, she always had stories to tell of her family and friends in Doylestown, OH, especially those friends from Woodlawn Drive that she loved so dearly.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Taylor; and brothers Dale and Dan Genet. She is survived by her son, Ryan (Gina) Taylor of Canal Fulton, OH; daughter Tracy (Kevin) Cruse of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Olivia (Sam) Hettich of Akron, OH; Charlee, Peyton, and Bennett Cruse of Castle Rock, CO; brother, Don (Deb) Genet of New Franklin, OH; sisters-in-law, Brenda Genet of Green, OH, and Sharon Genet of Norton, OH; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
At Donna’s wishes, there will be no services to celebrate her life. A private inurnment will be held at a future date at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Seville, OH where Donna will be reunited with her dear husband, Chuck.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's name may be made to The American Heart Association or The Cleveland Clinic.
