Dedra Marie King, 32, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2021, at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital from a pulmonary embolism.
Dedra was born in New York, on October 21, 1988 to William (Billy) King and Belinda (Susie) King. Her family moved to Colorado as a young girl and it remained home to her the remainder of her life. She attended Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado, as well as Eagle Academy, where she graduated from in 2007. She also worked as a waitress at the Castle Rock Café, and was working hard towards a degree in Nursing at Arapahoe Community College. Dedra’s life was very busy, but always made time for family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was to sing and dance in the kitchen with Aubrey. She also loved anything outdoors: snowboarding, camping, hiking, and running 5k’s with her friends and Aubrey, and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos.
