She attended grade school, junior high and high school (Arapahoe High School) in Centennial, Colorado.
She was president of her high school class. Carla was given the distinct honor of "Student of the Year" by
the Public Service Company in 1976. she graduated from the University of Colorado in 1980 and obtained
a Law Degree from the University of Oregon in 1982.
She married Jim Pardee in 2001; they lived in the mountains west of Sedalia, in Larkspur, and recently in
Castle Rock. Carla was a licensed Realtor for the Stucy Realty Company in Castle rock.
She is survived by her husband Jim Pardee; her parents Dick and Madge Dickinson; her brother Morgan
Dickinson and his wife Carol; her nieces Alyssa and Laurie; her nephew Richard; and her cat Lucy.
A memorial service will be held to honor her memory at St. Andrews United Methodist Church,
9203 S University Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126, on Friday, May 2, 11:00 am.In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations can be made in her name to Douglas Elbert Task Force, 1638 Park St, Castle Rock,
CO 80109
