Throughout her life, Lorraine embraced her talents as a seamstress, baker, and artist. She had a passion for music, particularly enjoying the rhythms of waila music, and cherished the moments spent dancing with loved ones. Family gatherings were a source of joy for her, providing opportunities to create lasting memories with those she held dear.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Antonio and Jacquelyn Monte; her siblings, Ruben, Floyd, Corrine, and Frances Antone; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Monte, daughter Marilyn Monte and siblings, Rosemary, Delphine, Josephine, Juanita, John, Lucus and Adam Antone Sr.
An all-night wake will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Kupk, St. Francisco Church within the Tohono O'odham Nation, starting at 6:00 p.m. Burial services will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 6:00 a.m.
