Walter Sr. grew up in New York where he attended Pratt Institute and was an army veteran of the Korean War. He worked with his father in statuary art restoration for various Catholic churches throughout New York State. He was also an award-winning sales agent for Prudential Life Insurance Company. Among his many hobbies, including cooking, enjoying his bonsai plants, eating out and walks with family and friends. He also enjoyed fly-fishing, bike riding, and painting.
He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. Walter Sr. loved his friends and family with all his heart.
Surviving to cherish his memory are Walter Jr., Anna, Trey, Leslie, Basil, Keane, Shaelyn, his extended family, friends, and his faithful koi fish, Bozo.
A celebration of life for Walter will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511, followed by a reception.
