Faith, family, and friends were the most important part of her life, and she is remembered for being a selfless, loyal, caring, fun-loving and faithful servant.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1941, Victoria married the love of her life Richard Shannon in 1962. They were blessed with six children and made many friends in the places they lived: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Mansfield, OH, Huntington, Long Island, and Sharon, PA before eventually settling in the Triangle area in 1984.
Vicki became a member of Shepherd’s Church (formerly Colonial Baptist Church) where she taught Sunday school to 2 year old’s for 20 years, and was quick to serve wherever needed, including as a Bible Study Fellowship leader.
Vicki is survived by her husband Richard Shannon, her daughters, Molly Auble (Gabriel), Kelly Keen (Michael); her sons Michael Shannon (Annie), Tim Shannon (Marianne), and Dan Shannon (Stacy); her grandchildren, Ryan Shannon (Ashlyn), Taylor Harrington (Kevin), Katie Shannon, Jackson Keen, Garrett Keen, Isabelle Auble, Patrick Shannon, George Auble, Caroline Shannon, Grace Shannon, Victoria Shannon, John Shannon, and her brother Rick Haun (Joann). She was predeceased by her son Patrick Shannon, sister Carol Carmosino, and brother Edward Haun.
Vicki’s celebration of life will be held at The Shepherd’s Church 6051 Tryon Rd. Cary, NC on Saturday, November 19th, 2022, at 1:00 PM. A reception will be held afterwards.
