At Good Shepherd United Church of Christ I had the distinct pleasure of being Loretta's Deacon from 2008 - 2009. Before, during and after that period of time I always enjoyed speaking with her prior to worship service on Sunday. Somehow we were on the same wave length in the few years we were  acquainted yet there was definitely a spiritual connection that came not from a long relationship but more from a loving and nurturing heart and soul. My life was enriched by knowing her and I thank God for Loretta Deuel.

We will miss Loretta very much.  She was a dear friend and a wonderful person.  Our deepest sympathy to all of her family.

We had the pleasure of having Loretta as our loving neighbor when our only child, William, came into the world nearly 20 years ago. Words cannot describe the clairvoyant bond that I shared with Loretta. During our friendship, I had gotten to know and care for her devoted children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her loving pet Gabby - the best friend to her after the loss of her late husband, Gene. It is with great sadness that I let her hand go but I know she is now in peace. Gene, Gabby and sister Birdie are all with her now and whoever else gets lucky enough to hang out with her in Heaven. Loretta was my friend, confidant, best cheerleader and supporter when nobody else cared and I mean NOBODY. Loyal, kind, giving, witty, loving, genuine were just a few of her many attributes to everyone that encountered her. As Matriarch of the family, ALL of her kids knew how special she was. I, too, feel their pain because I adopted her as my Mom many years ago. She was and is irriplaceable. Our family sends heart felt hugs and sympathy to everyone whose lives she touched. She will always be in my thoughts for years to come until I get to see her again. Love, Joanne

I am shocked and saddened to learn about Loretta. I knew her through GSUCC and often had the pleasure of her company during service there. What a lovely person - I will surely miss her warmth and kindness.

Mom Loretta, was the best mother in law ever.  I cherish the time we had together and the awesome conversations we had. She will be missed.

Loretta was one of the finest ladies I have ever known and a wonderful volunteer at the Dorcas Shop. She is so missed! The shop  and our lives will not be same without her!!!!!
