Karen S. Canjar (Wilson) of McLeansville, North Carolina passed away on January 8th, 2023. She was originally from Baxter, West Virginia, and was proud of her West Virginia heritage.
Karen is survived by her adoring husband of 63-years Louis M. Canjar, Sr.; daughters Cindy Briggs, Paula Page and Jennifer Schiebly; son Louis M. Canjar Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren—with one on the way.
Loved by all and known as “Nanny” by most, Karen had a way of putting people at ease and treating everyone like family. Karen was also a fighter; she faced many challenges in life but always persevered with pride, grace, and dignity. She was the matriarch of the family.
There will be no services. Karen was cremated and will be interred in her home state of West Virginia when Lou Sr. is ready to let her go.
