Jacqueline "Jackie" Lea Flanagan

Jacqueline Lea Flanagan, age 53, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2022. Jackie’s loving family, Michael, Lauren, Aaron, and Ethan will miss her deeply as will her brother Steve Stanford and Aunt Louise Day.

Jacqueline was born In Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Jack and Cindy Stanford who are devastated by her passing. Jackie attended Prestonsburg High and graduated from June Buchanan School.

Michael and Jacqueline were married in Liberty Kentucky in 1989. They moved to Colorado Springs and Jackie earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counseling, both at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She loved to help people and cherished her experiences at Franciscan Retreat Center in Colorado Springs. She was an adored adjunct instructor and lab leader at UCCS. Jackie also supported others in her private practice as a counselor.

To honor Jackie’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life in Lexington, Kentucky at South Elkhorn Christian Church at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. We invite anyone who knew Jackie to attend and remember her wonderful life.
